Takashi Ono is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthodontic Science, Graduate School Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU), Tokyo, Japan.

He studied at TMDU, the University of British Columbia, Canada and the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Prof. Ono worked and has been working as an Adjunct/Visiting Professor at 6 domestic and 7 international universities. He also serves as an editorial board member for 14 international peer-reviewed journals. He has published 11 book chapters and 301 scientific articles and has been invited extensively for lecturing nationally and internationally. Prof. Ono is a recipient of IADR/AADR Williams J. Gies Award in 2018, SIDO Anthony Gianelly Award. He has been appointed as Chairman of the 9th International Orthodontic Congress (IOC) in 2020 and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO).

Prof. Kenko Jian-hong Yu, a well-known educator of orthodontics, graduated number one from his class at China Medical University (CMU) and pursued his advanced study of Ph.D. in Japan and graduated from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, now serving at the China Medical University and Hospital Medical Center, as Professor and Head of School of Dentistry, Dean of Orthodontic Department.

Prof. Yu has been sharing the “LH orthodontics”, originated from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, which advocates “one archwire method”, with his colleague and students. He has consistently worked hard to try to realize the conceptual differences between Eastern and Western orthodontic techniques. Now he serves as an executive for several organizations and an editorial board member of many world-famous scientific journals. He has also translated textbooks and scientific articles to improve the general public’s awareness of orthodontic treatment.

Based on the spirit of a much more effective treatment, Prof. Yu invented the "Dual-thread ortho implant with revolving cap", dedicating to the clinical application of this revolutionary ortho implant, trying to make it possible to offer dynamic anchorages in fixed angles and directions for difficult cases, as Prof. Yu has always been putting emphasis on, a "simple and effective" treatment to the dental practitioners and even greater benefit to the patients.

Dr. Choo-Ryung Chung, a professor at the Department of Orthodontics, Gangnam Severance Hospital, Yonsei University College of Dentistry, Seoul, Korea received her DDS from Yonsei University and her orthodontic training and Ph.D at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Tokyo, Japan.

She was a visiting scholar at University of North Carolina(UNC) at Chapel Hill. She is currently the Director of the Korean Association of Orthodontists(KAO), Korean Association of Cleft lip and Palate(KCLP),  Advisory Committee member of the World Implant Orthodontic Association(WIOC) and Director of Scientific Affairs for the 15th World Congress of the International Cleft lip and Palate Foundation(Cleft2023Seoul). Her clinical and research interests include the clinical application of TADs, digital orthodontics and interdisciplinary esthetic dentistry for adults.
